Saved you

to save the world from it’s demise,

I choose not to reflect the dark nights

I’m shedding toxic ties,

I’m setting boundaries high

I won’t willingly reproduce random guys

Those that hold insecurities in their minds

I save the world from more lies

Not discovering the known, Columbus style

But slowly leaving Earth with light

You got me, Almost

I feel like I want to hide away,

Like a wounded dog, led astray.

I feel like I need 365 days,

But I can’t afford to, to stay in this haze.

Instead, I have to let it go,

Trusting I’ve understood the show.

The world doesn’t need me, right?

Your point was made, you won the fight

But now, it’s your perception, I find.

Cause when I step out with a smile so bright,

With my head held high, steady light.

With abs in a six-pack, chest out proud,

The birds start singing, no longer cowed.

When I smile, the rain retreats,

When I dance, money greets.

When I speak, jaws do drop,

Maybe I don’t need flops

In my world, I’m on top.

The hero’s journey

Trigger warning, be warned

I am the motivational speaker for all,

Yet deep down, I need a motivational call.

I became the hero I never knew,

Now I envy the nincompoop

I watch you thrive from my care,

Seeing you loved by me, it’s hard to bear.

If I had me the way you do,

Maybe I wouldn’t feel bitten black and blue.

I need you to understand, it’s true,

Three days to recharge, from you.

Watching my sacred force work like Shroom,

Takes a toll on my consume

I need a day or two

A break or few

Last day on Earth

Last day on Earth, a day well spent,

Every day worth dying for the expense

The sun’s a paid actor, heaven-sent.

The moon’s invited to our barbecue, To-let

Sun dresses for my man, love our fav scent.

Children running, it’s cute

they’ve been here before, before you

Life’s treasures at full deck, marriage jewels.

Beneath the ocean’s gentle sway,

Gray head, sunglasses, we watch the play.

A big fat smile, like a ray

grooving to this cosmic joke on replay

Every moment precious, beyond compare.

Last day on Earth, what a dream we chase,

Living each day with a joyful embrace.

Not Humble

Here I am In Bali, to find a way to say Asante with ease,
In a café, seated, writing like my breath would seize.
Was it a baby’s cry or the milk being whisked?
My soul rebirthed, or was I still child-free and brisked?

Papaya smoothie called me from within,
Weak..
Feeling the child in me, free-d from being seen, thus free from sin.
Wisdom tooth wise, not to ruin the deed, today no tweak
Met the gatherer, not the gladiator, fulfilling my need.

The dancer, not the procrastinator,
As though I rebirthed a new breed,
The entertainer, philosopher, mathematician, all the same theme

Every part of me, before the world came together to humble me.
