Building Rom Vol. 88

Peace and love

It becomes humorous, the hippies

the peace, the love, the grove and let loose

The Blue eyed and frisky dudes

Until it hits you, that’s a to-do.

The looks, the man, the brain, the health,

What more to seek other than wealth?

What is wealth?

If you let loose, it’ll surely come to you,

Attracting goodness, a beating drum.

Let’s not complicate what life’s for

Embrace what’s in front

Surely, it could as well be gone

The Moment

But one day she’ll leave this earthly spot.

When she shuts her eyes,

starting the process of glimpsing inward

she’ll clearly see,

The mornings fresh dew

In the Norderplantsoen

She’ll recall the thousand grabs in Bali’s air,

She’ll then dwell on her first love’s sweet, awkward stare.

Days she yelled for him to stop the gazing flare

Oh and the gazebo,

Were they stood under at night.

She’ll remember days of dreaming bright,

Of futures shaped in hopeful light.

She’ll remember crafting her own fate,

From life’s ordained mistreat’s,

Searching for the good and great,

Continental debates ..

And maybe she’ll remember too,

The one who’s reading this, that’s you.

Me myself and Irene

Irene, she’ll digress

Roses will cure her pain,

A Cinderella dress, will make her love again.

A sweet candlelight dinner,

Enchanté, Bordeaux red wine,

flowing like a river.

With grace, she‘ll ignore the mess,

Shes Just a pretty face, on the reign

All untrue, but let’s fuel the flame

Building Rom Vol.82

King

How can I be more loving to you?

Did the word “king”

not reveal I’d bow for you?

Did the sensations not give away

This is one of a kind and new?

Did you not seek

and find your equal, your truth?

If you kick me down

I know for sure you’re not my king

If you lift me up, then you just might be

DEFEAT

When everyone disappears, you’re left all alone,

You’re a fool to believe they’d throw you a rope.

You’d think there’s a law for those played and defied,

That the only one who saves you, is you from inside.

No need to beg, to kick, or to cry,

Just kneel and clear your mind.

Seeking power outside, where none may reside,

If it’s beyond God’s plans, what do you confide?

If he is beneath, he’ll surely kick you down,

If above, you’ll never see eye to crown.

But with he who is on wavelength, you will ascend,

Ensemble, you’ll mend.
