What’s so good about morning?
That’s what I want to know
My life so young and yet full of morning
That’s not my legacy, one I’ll adjacently forgo
Instead, all I want comes in
My arms all widened, my eyes glow
So please don’t tell me good morning
You can miss me with that load
We keep talking
Saying everything
But not what we feel
We fill in the blanks yet they still remain,
Spaces that words can’t truly explain.
We keep it clean
We’re careful with the sheets,
Keep tidy and neat,
Playing it safe with strategies discreet.
We say it all, yet miss what we plead,
Dancing around the words we need
What’s the opposite of love?
If love goes sour I mean?
If fortune seizes to tell
If touch became forced,
Indifference shows up
Suddenly you can barely endure,
What once was pure pleasure
Now a distant, unemotional lure
