Please stay

When “Let Me Go”

Is “I want you to stay”

“For the love of God, set yourself free.”

Pushing away, yet needing so much,

Sacrificing all for idealism you clutch.

Stupidity you thought you never caught

Now weighs you down, like tangled knots

Do yourself a favor: live,

Breathe deep,

take what life can give.

Eat, pray, love and repeat

for God’s sake, please,

Unshackle yee soul and findeth thy peace.

Bloom once more

If you ever learned

how it feels to be dead and still walking

To drift through days as a ghost,

Cause no once knocking

Wearing a heart that no longer beats nimbly,

Cause no one’s coming

Its rhythm lost to a symphony of sorrow,

Like your black coffee

But somewhere, deep in this muted core,

A seed remains, stubborn and small,

Whispering hope to the void in your lungs

That even dead things can still rise

 and bloom once more.

Illusion of peace

Do you like the victim card so,

That you bow beneath the weight of the weak?

Do you fear the strength you hold,

Afraid of what they’d do if you reign indeed?

Do you grow bored with victory’s gleam,

So you lay my neck down in a silent dream,

To bear the unspeakable, quiet and cold,

Trading power for stories untold?

Oh how your shadow echos – Go

But you fear to loose the illusion of peace
