Becoming

A new season hums beneath my skin,
Everyone aches for the fire within.
Even I crave the heat whilst held in,
So much that I question the way that I live.
This root, this bloom, this sacred tide,
Reveals a truth I cannot hide.
I’ve whispered dreams into the air,
And now, here, and always there.
Takes walks beside me
In quiet moments, crystal clear.
Finds me in my dusk and dawn,
In every breath, he lingers on.
Where love and oceans gently collide.
there when I lay down to rest,
heartbeat echoing in my chest.
Cradles weight my hands once bore,
Nourishes me to my very core.
He meets my hunger, holds my flame,
No need to chase, no need to name.
I’ve known him in a thousand ways,
In future songs and ancient days.
He stands, aligned a sovereign soul,
As I embody my next role.
