We cherish the few of you that know her.
The way she speaks, deliberate and true,
The way she moves, effortless, unshaken.
Her imperfect marks, like she, territorial
claimed by fire, A mark of heat,
of passion & stories untold.
Her smile, a ray of light
breaking through the dark,
I love her most
As she is the portal
Where love enters, where life begins
When “Let Me Go”
Is “I want you to stay”
“For the love of God, set yourself free.”
Pushing away, yet needing so much,
Sacrificing all for idealism you clutch.
Stupidity you thought you never caught
Now weighs you down, like tangled knots
Do yourself a favor: live,
Breathe deep,
take what life can give.
Eat, pray, love and repeat
for God’s sake, please,
Unshackle yee soul and findeth thy peace.
Then why is left right, and right left,
A dance of opposites, a cosmic jest?
Why is yin yang, and yang yin,
A circle eternal, where all begins?
Why is black white, and white black,
Shadows and light on the same track?
They search for me in places begotten,
Paths long traveled, yet truths forgotten.
Where do you go when you seek the truth?
Beyond the mirror, beyond your youth?
This hollow numbness fills the air,
A penetrating scream, too much to bear.
The world hums out for love’s light
All I can do is craft mine
I hear love rise when we all try…
We keep talking
Saying everything
But not what we feel
We fill in the blanks yet they still remain,
Spaces that words can’t truly explain.
We keep it clean
We’re careful with the sheets,
Keep tidy and neat,
Playing it safe with strategies discreet.
We say it all, yet miss what we plead,
Dancing around the words we need
Don’t take advice from those
Whose paths diverge from yours—
Their steps may lead to cliffs,
While you may sink with sheep’s
When life hands you lemons,
Don’t just make the juice—
Swallow it whole, my friend,
Let its sharpness be your truth.
When opportunity knocks,
Don’t just answer with grace—
Grab it by its face,
And make it know its place.
Don’t linger in the shadows,
Waiting for others to choose—
Be in tune,
Let your spirit groove
I heard Poison is the magic medicine
Then it makes me wonder about Sin
If we swallow poison to help us reason
Do we Sin to redeem?
So that whenever we are out of magic
We redeem the tragic
Gods Grace 🙏🏾
Instinctively, I know the game of chess,
Playing my role in this hunger quest.
Some say “checkmate” first,
I’m the late bloomer guest,
Steadily building my little nest.
By God’s grace and Grandma’s rest,
And for sure, the air I breathe is my witness.
I play my part here and there,
Watch the magic stars descend,
Take notes, reassess,
But never relent.
Rockstar pose, wanting the best,
..but never without zest
Let it all go, let thy magic flow,
Set yourself free, let your spirit glow.
Ego halt, breathe in… know!
That peace comes crawling back,
Once you banish despair.
let love repair
I wish I could go mad for once too,
But all I am is love, so I love you.
Don’t want to spill the tea,
Yet here I am, bleeding on the next breed.
But there’s more to what you know,
And yet, there’s nothing, just the show.
Let’s meet in heaven once we go
Let’s kumbaya and glow
